Happy Halloween!

First off, I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to the Boo Bash.  Despite the weather, we had a great time for a great cause.  Check out the pictures below.  Thank you to each of you who donated to the Words, Beats and Life scholarship Fund.

And tonight, the kiddies will be out for Halloween. I always enjoyed Halloween as a kid.  Back in the day, we didn’t have the luxury of buying costumes (as you can see in the picture above).   We used our creativity to come up with costumes.  Besides, it was really about the candy! 🙂  I loved walking around the neighborhood and meeting up with my cousins and friends.  We would give each other the heads up  about which houses gave out the best candy.  And you felt like you hit the jackpot if someone gave out WHOLE chocolate bars. I didn’t realize it as a kid, but I just enjoyed the community fellowship.  And this evening, I want to foster that community spirit, so I will be giving out candy to the kids in my neighborhood. And I am quite excited!
