MidWeek Mixx

Hello Good Folks!

Happy Hump Day!  🙂

You are in for a treat for today’s MidWeek Mixx.  When I received this gem in my inbox, I didn’t know that I was going to be blown away!

The name is Tracy Cruz and she is a R&B/Soul singer/songwriter from San Jose, CA.  Born in Quezon City on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, Tracy was influenced by her mother and grandmother singing around the house.   Before too long,  she was joining in to sing with them.  Her grandfathers also encouraged her by offering her money to sing.   Eventually, her parents enrolled her in piano, singing, and saxophone lessons which lead her to music competitions.  And this was the beginning…

For Tracy, it is ultimately about letting people in.  Each album, each song, offers a glimpse into the different chapters in her life.  Tracy’s debut album, Feel’osophy (2008), was awarded three Muse’s Muse Awards for “Best R&B CD Project of 2008”, “Best Lyrics Female”, and “Best R&B Single Female.” The acclaim from Feel’osophy boosted Tracy’s profile in the industry.  Since then, she has shared the stage with Apl. de Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, Sy Smith, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Martin Luther, Jaguar Wright, Latoya London, Zion I, Pep Love, Living Legends, Breakestra, The Bangerz, and Crown City Rockers.  So with the release of “Universoul Symphony,” Tracy continues to “let us in”.. on her truth of love, pain, struggle, courage, and joy.

To learn more about this talented artist, check out her interview with Grown Folks Music.

Get to grooving with “Love’s Galaxy” from Tracy Cruz.  Enjoy!

Peace and Blessings.
