Baby Bash and Bling Expo & Show

This weekend, ThatKellieGirl attended the media reception for the Baby Bash and Bling Expo & Show, an interactive lifestyle expo that celebrates expecting moms.

Hailing from New Orleans, Expo and Show creator Monica Byrd is a southern belle with a passion for fashion, writing and events.  During her first pregnancy, Byrd began blogging about her experiences as an expecting Mom.  Her blog, “The Pregginista” offers advice on how a pregnant woman can remain stylish and sophisticated.  However, after her pregnancy, Byrd still was passionate about encouraging other expecting moms about being fierce and fabulous, so the Baby Bash and Bling Expo & Show was born.  In addition to the Expo, Byrd owns a boutique called  Urban Charm and she has another  fashion blog called Charm Chat

The reception was held at the luxurious and stylish Renaissance Hotel in Crystal City.  Several guests, fashion bloggers and reporters came out to meet  Actress Tia Mowry , formerly of  The Game.  She talked about her book “OH, BABY!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to the Next“.   And her adorable son, Cree made a  brief appearance.  Cree took everything in stride! 🙂

Attendees were treated to yummy cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes.  ThatKellieGirl was quite impressed with the miniature replicas of Mowry’s book donning several of the cupcakes!  It was too cute. 🙂  See the pictures below.

The Expo tour kicked off in DC this Saturday.  However, other Pregginistas can catch the expo in Texas in November, and in Atlanta next year.

Kudos to the Baby Bash and Bling Expo & Show for keeping so many Moms fabulous!
