Check out the brilliance of the Robert Glasper Trio this evening (10/10) at Blues Alley.  I had the pleasure of seeing him perform at Bohemian Caverns, and I was just awe-struck.  Glasper is known for his work with hip-hop and neo-soul artists such as Bilal and Mos Def as musical director, Q-Tip (The Renaissance), Kanye West (Late Registration), Meshell Ndegeocello (The World Has Made Me the Man of My Dreams), J Dilla, Erykah Badu, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli,Common, Slum Village and Maxwell.  However, Glasper is committed to jazz.  Glasper melds modern genres while preserving the jazz tradition.    Get familiar with Robert Glasper.
