The Rich African Cultural Experience…T.R.A.C.E., TerangaMorabeza, in partnership with Orijin Culture Magazine presents a film screening of Wamba with Cameroonian film writer-director Yves Tchouta. The film takes place in Nairobi in 1990, which is about to be at the center of an AIDS epidemic. The communities on the outskirts own the battle ground. In one ghetto neighborhood – named California, Cali for short, people will drop dead from what is presumed to be witchcraft. The medical industry – corrupt from the inside out – will be of little help. When one young man is unfairly labeled an evil doer, he stands up and speaks out — his name is Wamba.
