So last night, ThatKellieGirl began her pre-birthday celebration!  🙂

It was an impromptu get-together with some friends who wanted to wish me a “Happy Birthday”.  One of the many conversations was about our favorite movies as kids.  For me, I loved (and still love)  The Last Dragon, Breakin I, Breakin II: Electric Boogaloo and The Wiz (Honorable mentions: The Goonies and Adventures in Babysitting). 

As a kid, I loved the music, the dancing and, most importantly, the perseverance of the main characters.  It was so inspirational to me.  So when I was asked, what was my favorite part of The Wiz.  I said the ending when Glinda the Good (Lena Horne) sang to Dorothy (Diana Ross) “Believe in Yourself”.  To this day, I love how Lena sang that song as well as those beautiful star babies floating in the air. 🙂
