Freedom Friday: The Boo Bash Edition

Hello Trick or Treaters,

Do you want to have a good time this weekend? 

Then I suggest you come out to The Boo Bash Costume Party this Saturday.  And your first drink is on us!  There will be food, dancing and prizes for best male, female, couple and overall costumes.   We have put in a lot of time and hard work to bring you a great event.  However, I am most excited about raising money for the Words, Beats and Life Scholarship Fund to be awarded to graduating seniors who will attend college.   So I truly hope you can join us.

There are a  lot of events going on this weekend, so please be safe.  If you need to get home, take metro or click here for a FREE RIDE HOME.

Come out to the National Mall for District Children Rooted by Literacy’s first 5K Run/Walk for Literacy!  For those of you who have not had a chance to pay, you can bring your registration fee with you and you will be met at the Federal Triangle metro station by wonderful volunteers who will register you!

The Marine Corps Marathon, the annual race known as the “The People’s Marathon” brings together runners from all walks of life to participate in a patriotic race and a day of family friendly activities. The traditional Marine Corps Marathon course is 26.2 miles and a 10K race also allows runners of all ages to join in a shorter 6.2 mile event. The weekend includes additional events including a Health and Fitness Expo, the Healthy Kids Fun Run, Crystal Run (a festival in Crystal City), and the Marine Corps Marathon Finish Festival.

Start time is at 7:50AM
 
Participants should use the Pentagon Station to enter Runner’s Village in the Pentagon North Parking lot. Spectators can take Metro to the Arlington Cemetery Station to view the start, or the Rosslyn Station to view the finish.
 
Festival starts at 4:30 p.m. at Crystal Drive, near 23rd Street in Arlington

Live music headlined by the Spin Doctors.
