With witty and clever lyrics and danceable beats, Ty hits us in Spring 2010 with his fourth studio album “Special Kind of Fool”, on BBE Records.

The first single from the album “Emotions” (release date March 2010), features remixes from heavyweight producers including Daz-I-Kue, Waajeed, Dego (4Hero) and Akwasi.  Listen here.

Born in London to Nigerian immigrants, Ty began recording during the mid-’90s, and appeared on tracks produced by IG Culture’s New Sector Movement, MC Mell ‘O’, DJ Shortee Blitz, and DJ Pogo.  His Ty debut came on Big Dada in late 2000 with the single “Break the Lock.” His first full-length, Awkward, appeared early the following year and earned kudos from dozens of musical sources. His sophomore album Upwards dropped on Big Dada in late 2003 and received numerous end-of-year honors.

I am still hurt that I missed Ty performing in DC about 2 years ago.  However, when he crosses the pond again, I will be there.
