Hey Good Folks! TGIM. 
So this past weekend, ThatKellieGirl traveled back home to celebrate Mother’s and Father’s Day. And one of the things I love the most is the land in Ohio. My mother and I took a trip out to Amish country in Berlin, Ohio. I so loved the drive–the rolling hills, sprawling farmland, horses, and good-natured folks. However, there is another side of Ohio. It’s the SOUL of Ohio. The funky side where folks like to get down.
Freedom Friday: The March Madness Edition

TGIF!
So tonight, my alma mater, Ohio University will be dancing in St. Louis. I am so proud and excited for our team. My home state of Ohio has been showing off with four Ohio teams making it to the Sweet Sixteen–Ohio University, Ohio State University, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. However, I am rooting solely for my Bobcats to make it to the Final Four. Let’s see what happens!
In the meantime, there are many festivals going on this weekend. Celebrating 100 years, The Cherry Blossom Festival kicked of this week as well as the Split This Rock Festival. On Saturday, for one day only, the Washington National Cathedral opens for a tower climb for visitors to climb 333 stairs to the top for a breathtaking view of the District. And the DC Environmental Film Festival closes out on Sunday.

Hello Everyone,
I am so sorry I missed everyone on Freedom Friday. However, I had some very important family business. It was our family reunion! It was great to be back in the midwest…wraparound porches, large front yards, green pastures, cows, bails of hay, classic rock. It was good to be home! We took the opportunity to honor the elders in our family and remember family members who have passed as well as show love, support and encouragement towards each other.
